Quote from Does this work well or do I need to do something different? (Still need to make 9 more nightshades:P) Dayblooms & Nightshades: You can actually fit more in that space if you like. The passive flowers almost generate so little mana that they remove it I have 3 'flower pods', each the size in the pic and they won't even keep the elven portal open, bah. Those will work to start, but for more mana production, it seems you have to use the endoflames; so a tree farm. I attached a pic of the maximum passives that you can get in one spreader area and capacity.

The 'flower pod' has 101 dayblooms, 27 hydroangeas and 24 nightshades each (again 3 of these won't keep portal open). You can see the dayblooms can be staggered in height to offset the proximity nerf they have built in. The hydroangeas are below the dayblooms and are 3 layers high.
The nightshades are stuck in the various vacant spots with the hydroangeas. The spreader is in the middle and below the top daybloom with a phantom lens. It will only reach to the mana pool right next to the pod, but I think pic shows that. For me, I've got these 3 systems and 2 spawners (from a mod) that auto-supply coal to a bank of 29 endoflames.
So far it's doing okay, but I find myself still waiting on mana a lot. I'm expecting to also add a tree farm finally to help bump it up a bit. Hope this helps. Quote from Hey Vazkii, have you considered adding a botanical flowerpot or planter? It would be nice to be able to shove plants around with pistons or have more than one flower in a single block space. Just a thought (don'tshootmeplease). I second this!
Not the part of putting more then one flower in a blockspace. But for sure on the flower pots. I want to be able to plant in my house.
But grass/dirt is ugly. It would be nice to have 'house plants' in vanilla flower pots. It might even give them a tiny boost in power as planting them in a flower pot has to be better for them then just shoving them in the ground. Ahh, 2 layer checkerboard.
Didn't think of that but I like the flatness in my yard. I haven't gotten to the portal bit yet, but does it need to stay open all the time? Or is it something you can do like a nether portal and only open when needed? I always disable my nether portal when not in use, same for the twilight portal, I push blocks over it with pistons to keep outdoor mobs from falling into it and greeting me when i go through. Thus far, that one bed has filled 3 mana pools in a basement room under it.
I use one for an alchemy pool, a second to power a runic altar, the 3rd only feeds the alchemy pool so far I have a 2nd garden downstairs with hydroangeas feeding a fallen kanade at my blood magic altar for regen. This ^^ is the reason I 2nd'ed the flower part idea, the dirt in my house is unacceptable! Quote from I haven't gotten to the portal bit yet, but does it need to stay open all the time? You can close the portal anytime you want but be aware that it takes a decent amount of mana to open up the portal each time. The portal dose use a little bit of mana to stay open so if you're not using it frequently (or don't setup a system to keep it's mana pools full) then it might be best to close it when not using it. If you do decide to go with opening it when needed, it's best to trade large amounts of items at once. Cinema 4d Architecture Tutorial Pdf Download.
Quote from Using sparks, it even says so in the entry. Right, and I read that; however, it doesn't say how to use sparks, just that 'Sparks would be the most effective way'. But I can't craft spark augments until I get terrasteel, and the lexica doesn't say how I can use sparks without applying augments to them; can I just put a spark above each of my nearby mana pools and one above the agglomeration plate?
